MONTGOMERY COUNTY
REGIONAL DISPATCH CENTER

The Regional Dispatch Center is seeking accreditation by verifying their professional standards with the Public Safety Communications Accreditation Program (PSCAP).  Members of the community are invited to offer comments.  Please read the attached document for more information.


TIRE DISPOSAL

Clayton is again hosting a tire disposal program for our residents.  It will be held July 31st from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.  Click here for more information.


SWEEP CLAYTON CLEAN

Clayton will host a second Sweep Clayton Clean event this year.  It will be held at Fire Station 83 on Saturday, August 28th from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm.  Click here for more information.

Caterpillar Construction
Kick Off

Caterpillar Logistics celebrated the construction kick off for their new facility located on Hoke Road on May 5, 2010.  Click here for Caterpillar's press release announcing the project.

The Clayton fire Department/ IAFF Local 4379, participated in the annual Muscular Dystrophy Association ( MDA) fund drive to support a cure for neuromuscular diseases.  The fund drive, "Fill-the Boot", occurred on two consecutive weekends in September 2009.  As a result of the efforts of the fire department and the generosity of the Northmont community $4,350  was collected. This was the largest dollar amount raised, per fire fighter, out of the 247 participating departments.  As a result, the Clayton Fire Department/IAFF Local 4379 was awarded the traveling Golden Boot Award.  The award was  presented by a representative of the MDA at the July 1st Council Meeting.
 


2010 Street Resurfacing Program

The following roads are part of the 2010 street resurfacing program, which is expected to start in June.

Full Reconstruction
The existing roadway and curb will be removed and reconstructed. 

  • Mintwood Street between Hillgrove and Savina Avenues
  • Sheelin Court between Hillgrove and Savina Avenues

Milling and Overlay
Milling is the process of removing irregular pavement, and overlay is a new layer of pavement on a combination of existing, milled and leveled surfaces.

  • Barrington Drive from Main Street to Volk Drive
  • Dog Leg Road from just east of Main Street to the Stillwater River Bridge
  • Heathcliff Road from Main Street to the Stillwater River Bridge
  • Summersweet Drive from Union Road to Sterling Oaks Drive
  • Talmadge Road from West National Road to Spring Street

Full Depth Patching
This repair involves removal of the failing areas, down to the sub-base, aggregate is  installed and the pavement is replaced.

2010 WATER QUALITY
CONSUMER CONFIDENCE REPORT

The City of Clayton has prepared the attached report to provide information to the consumer on the quality of our drinking water for testing year 2009.

  • On April 1, 2010 Clayton City Council passed Resolution No. R – 04 – 10 – 23 A Resolution Approving Amendment of the City’s Residential Solid Waste Collection Service Agreement with Republic Services, Inc. (Allied/Dempsey Waste Services).
