Billing Questions

Why do you bill for EMS calls? Doesn't my taxes pay for those services?

The tax revenue collected by the City of Clayton goes towards the overall operation of all services the City provides were the EMS billing revenue goes directly back to the Fire Department's budget. The cost to run a fire department and emergency medical service has risen over the years and  billing for EMS calls helps off-set the expense.

Were does the money go?

The revenue collected goes directly back into the Fire Department's budget and assists with purchase of equipment, personnel as well as training for the members.

What if I have any questions about my bill, who do I contact?
