Chief Matt Hamlin has worked for the City of Clayton Police Department since 1997. He began his career as a part-time officer for Randolph Township, which later became the City of Clayton with the merger of the Village of Clayton.  He has moved throughout the ranks as a full time officer, sergeant, lieutenant and promoted to Chief of Police on April 3, 2014. He has completed his Associates and Bachelor Degrees in Criminal Justice Administration, attended the Law Enforcement Foundation’s Police Leadership College (PELC), Northwestern University Center for Public Safety School Police Staff and Command School, and is a graduate of the Certified Law Enforcement Executive Program (CLEE) through the Ohio Association of Chiefs of Police. Chief Hamlin is married to his wonderful wife, Juliana for 24 years and has three children.
