Barclay, Jennifer

Jennifer is a graduate of Ball State University with a Master of Urban Design and Bachelors of Urban Planning and Development. Her academic and professional experiences have provided exposure to a diverse realm of theories concerning planning and design, which have allowed her to exercise creativity and develop effective solutions for various projects. She has maintained an active role in local and national planning organizations, which provides interaction with current theories and principles. She believes that the best solutions are those that gain the full support of the community for which they are developed. Communities are often in need of an advocate to develop and present effective solutions which protect the individual elements inherent to the community while integrating with the broader urban environment. Therefore, she has discovered that it is imperative to intertwine herself within the community to ensure their goals are met and the best possible solutions are presented. Urban Planning is about communicating ideas and visual aids are a necessity for clear communication with communities and officials.
