The City recommends that political signs be placed no earlier than forty-five (45) days before an election and should be removed seven (7) days after the election, if the political sign relates to an election. Political signs shall not be placed on City property such as the Clayton Government Center, fire stations, maintenance building, public park property or other out lots. Additionally, such signs shall not be located within the public right-of-way. Political signs do not require a permit.
