State of Emergency

At the regularly scheduled March 19, 2020 City Council meeting, Clayton City Council declared a state of emergency for the City of Clayton as a result of COVID-19. This declaration is a proactive step by Clayton City Council to ensure all necessary staffing and resources are available in the city as we continue to navigate this ongoing public health emergency throughout the entire country. Clayton is unaware of any positive tests of residents within Clayton’s boundaries and are only making this declaration to be able to best respond to the ever changing circumstances to ensure both the short and long term health and safety of our residents with appropriate staffing levels and resources to carry out essential duties throughout the ever changing COVID-19 emergency.
