Misty D. McDowell is the owner of Unique NPS, LLC, and a certified Family and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner committed to enhancing healthcare and her community. She began her nursing career by earning a Bachelor of Nursing degree in 1985, followed by a Master’s degree in Community Health Nursing in 1998 and a Master’s degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2001, all from Wright State University. In 2016, she further advanced her qualifications by obtaining a certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She completed her academic journey with a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from the University of Cincinnati in 2022.
For more than 22 years, she has made her home in the vibrant community of Clayton, Ohio. She is committed to serving her community. She is a board member of the Clayton City Council and serves on the Clayton Parks Advisory Commission.
Outside of her professional life, she values spending quality time with her family, attending church, enjoys traveling to new destinations, and hiking with her dog.
