In addition to ensuring a proactive presence is maintained within our neighborhoods, the Clayton Police routinely participate in community outreach initiatives, such as the annual Police and Fire Open House, Coffee with a Cop and Christmas with a Cop which gives our officers opportunities to interact with the general public in a more personal way.

The Clayton Police Department is responsible for patrolling and protecting over13,000 residents, 18.4 square miles of land, and 218 miles of roadways, 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year. The Police Department's current authorized strength is 20 Officers.
